    The “Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth” is arriving in Cape Town next month  and will bring together a motley crew of techies, tinkerers, hobbyists and makers for Cape Town’s first Maker Faire, which forms part of the 3rd annual Open Design Festival.

    The first annual Maker Faire Cape Town will take place 20 – 23 August 2015 at the V&A Waterfront, with a Maker Faire Conference on Thursday 20 August  at The Jubilee Hall in the Watershed and the main public exhibition at the Lookout venue from 21 – 23 August 2015.     KIRSTENBOSCH NEW YEAR’S EVE CONCERT 2014

    A concert being held at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens on new year’s eve is the best place to be to enter 2015. The Concert will bring two of South Africa’s best known performers with Arno Carstens opening and  Mango Grove as the headline act and all this will be taking place on Wednesday 31 December 2014.

    Mango Groove and lead singer Claire Johnston have a career that spanned a turbulent time in South Africa’s history. Their first single went multi platinum in 1989 and they have since become a household name in this country. Their electic music can be described as South African pop.

    SA rock legend Arno Carsten, lead singer of Springbok Nude Girls and solo artists has had over 20 top ten singles, won 5 SAMA Awards and shared the stage with legends of the music words including 20 top ten singles, won 5 SAMA Awards and shared the stage with legents of the music world including U2, The Rolling Stones and REM.

    This concert is a picnic style concert, so bring a blanket and a picnic basket, and your friends and family.

    Please note : Gates open at 19h00 and concert start 20h30 till 00h15.
